Rape allegations against Russell Brand: His wife continues to stand by him

The British actor and comedian Russell Brand (48) is currently facing massive allegations of rape and abuse. Allegations of sexual assault, emotional and sexual abuse and sexual violence were published by four anonymous women who were said to have been victims of Brand’s behavior between 2006 and 2013 – including a then 16-year-old.

However, his wife should continue to stick by him. Laura Gallacher (36) took Brand as her husband in 2017, and the two are parents to their two daughters Mabel (6) and Peggy (5). In it, he said he never made a secret about his lavish lifestyle in the early 2000s, during the peak of his career. He lived “very, very promiscuous” and always openly admitted this. However, all of his relationships were “absolutely and always consensual”. It was an “outrageous and aggressive attack” and “serious allegations” that he could refute.

“I’ve always been transparent, almost too transparent, and I am now,” Brand explained. The matter is part of a “coordinated attack” by the media on him and other prominent men and is “very, very serious.”

Russell Brand has been working as a comedian, presenter, singer, actor and author since the 1990s. He became known, among other things, for films such as “Never Have Sex With Your Ex Again” (2008) with Jason Segel, Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis or “Men’s Trip” (2010) alongside Jonah Hill.

Russell Brand was in a relationship with the American singer Katy Perry (38) from 2009 and was married from 2010 to 2012. They separated again in 2011, just 14 months after their wedding in India. Brand then married the author Laura Gallacher in 2017, with whom he is currently expecting their third child.
