According to information in a court document, the American would not allow their two children to travel to Turner’s native England. The couple announced their plans to divorce a few weeks ago.
A few weeks after the announcement of her divorce, the British actress Sophie Turner (27, “Game of Thrones”) called on the US singer Joe Jonas (34, “Sucker”) to return their two children. The daughters born in 2020 and 2022 were being unlawfully held back in New York, according to the court document that was available to the German Press Agency.
“The father is in possession of the children’s passports,” the document says. “He refuses to return the mother’s passports and he refuses to send the children home to England with the mother.”
Turner and Jonas announced their divorce plans about two weeks ago and described it as a “mutual decision.” In the court document, however, Turner writes that she found out “from the media” that Jonas had filed for divorce. Jonas and Turner got engaged in 2017 and then tied the knot twice in 2019 – in May in Las Vegas and in July in France.
