Ringo Starr shared an update on the Beatles’ “final” song, which was made with the help of artificial intelligence, saying it “should be out by now.”
Paul MCCARTNEY first revealed information about the song earlier this year, where he revealed in an interview that the Beatles They will release a “final” song in 2023.
According to the musician, he enlisted the help of artificial intelligence technology to work on the song, which allowed him to “extract” demo recordings from the deceased members, John Lennon and George Harrisonand compile them together with new recordings of him and Ringo Starr to create a song, more than four decades since Lennon’s death.
Now, speaking as part of a new interview with AP News, Starr has shed light on the supposed release date of the long-awaited song, explaining that it was supposed to have been released by now.
“Rumors said we just made it up. Like we’re doing it anyway… This is the last song where you’ll have all four Beatles on the song John, Paul, George and Ringo.”.
When asked when fans can expect to hear the song or discover the title, he replied, “It should be out by now.”
Ringo Starr had already given information about the song
This isn’t the first time Starr has talked about the track. A few months ago, the drummer clarified that fans should not worry about the track being dominated by AI and revealed that the end result sounds “beautiful.”
“It’s not about the AI… It’s not like we’re faking anything. “Actually, that’s John’s voice, Paul’s vocals and bass, George on rhythm guitar and me on drums,” he said.
“The two things that are new are Paul’s bass and me on drums… I really worked on it just a few months ago here. And it works,” he added. “It’s a beautiful song. You know, despite all the craziness around it, it’s still a beautiful track. And our last track.”.
McCartney also shared a similar sentiment to reassure fans who were cautious about using AI to create the song, stating that it does not include anything “artificially or synthetically created.”
“We have seen some confusion and speculation about this. There seems to be a lot of guesswork out there. I can’t say much at this time, but to be clear, nothing has been created artificially or synthetically. Everything is real and we all play with it,” he explained at the time.
“We cleaned up some existing recordings, a process that has taken years. We hope you like it as much as we do. More news in due course.”
