The Norwegian monarch has been infected with Corona and is showing cold symptoms. Although he is feeling better again, he remains on sick leave for a few more days.
Norway’s King Harald V (86) is on the mend after a corona infection. However, he will remain on sick leave for the rest of the week, the Norwegian royal family announced on Wednesday. An annual dinner for members of parliament will take place in the castle on Thursday as planned, although Crown Prince Haakon (50) will take over the role of host from his father.
The Oslo court announced on Sunday that the monarch had been infected with the coronavirus and was showing cold symptoms. Harald had already tested positive for Corona once in March 2022. Just a few weeks ago he was out due to a cold. In recent years he has also suffered from a number of illnesses that required a stay in the hospital.
