Kostas Papanastasiou died of kidney failure. Last Friday, the actor was taken to a hospital, the doctors first diagnosed a urinary tract infection. “He just fell asleep on the night of the Sunday of the Dead,” said Marc-Alexey Papanastasiou.
Kostas Papanastasiou suffers from dementia

He drove to him at the hospital to say goodbye. “Still, his death came as a surprise.” The actor has suffered from dementia for two years and most recently lived with his wife in assisted living.
