Domaine Bousquet has just been awarded the “Trophy – Best of the Best” in the “Red Wine Producer 2023” category by the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC). The organization of the IWSC announced the winners at the 2023 Awards Celebration which took place on Thursday, October 19, in Rounhouse, London.

“This award represents immense pride and is a recognition of the dedication and effort we have invested for more than 25 years. We position ourselves as the most important winery in the industry, setting the quality for exceptional organic wines worldwide and exemplifying the commitment of a company to comprehensive sustainability,” said Labid Ameri, Director and Co-founder of Domaine Bousquet with Anne Bousquet.

In the year of its 25th Anniversary of organic agriculture, Domaine Bousquet was chosen as the best Red Wine Producer 2023 among 7 finalist wineries from different producing countries that competed in the IWSC Trophy. “Our judges were impressed with Domaine Bousquet’s 360° approach to sustainability, noting that the team not only champions biodiversity and works to reduce its environmental impact, but also supports the local community. Over the past 25 years, they have helped farmers in the region convert more than 1,000 hectares to organic farming. They also support local education in the Tupungato region in Mendoza and train the local workforce, investing in their community,” highlighted the organization of the IWSC in his statement.

“But it is not only the sustainability initiatives that defined this coveted Trophy. The quality of Domaine Bousquet wines is excellent and the value is exceptional. In our recent evaluation in Argentina, their wines received a total of 11 medals, with 3 gold, 1 silver and 7 bronze, consolidating the winery’s status as the main producer in Argentina,” noted the judges of the IWSC.

At the same time, they highlighted the approach of Domaine Bousquet as an example to follow in the vineyards and in the winery: 100% organically certified vineyards, now converted to biodynamic practices processes in which they carry out substantial work to preserve the biodiversity of the land, work to minimize the generation of waste; carries out water conservation initiatives and its wines are presented in lightweight bottles.

They also point out the important achievements of Domaine Bousquet of recent years when they became, in 2022, the fourth winery – the first outside the US – to obtain Regenerative Organic Certification status and, at the end of that year, B Company certification. More recently In April 2023, two of its lines – Ameri and Gaia – obtained Demeter certification.
