Ralf Schumacher: He no longer argues with his ex-wife Cora

After a “disputing phase”, Ralf and Cora Schumacher are now good friends. The former racing driver revealed this in an interview.

In 2009, Ralf Schumacher’s (48) relationship with his childhood sweetheart Cora (46) broke up, and the divorce followed around six years later. After their separation, the couple fought a divorce battle that was partly public. This “dispute phase” is now behind the two of them, as Ralf Schumacher now explains in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”.

“We are good friends today,” says the former racing driver. “Our phase of controversy, which was perceived by some as the War of the Roses, is long behind us.”

Ralf Schumacher is “very proud” of his son David

Cora and Ralf Schumacher are also connected by their son David (22), who, like his father, is a racing driver. However, while Cora Schumacher recently cried in tears that her son currently did not want any contact with her, Ralf Schumacher’s situation is obviously different.

David is the most important person in his life: “I’m very proud of him. I was able to do a lot of things with him as a young dad. He’s now also a racing driver.”

Close contact with brother Michael’s family

One of the most important people for Ralf Schumacher for a long time was his brother Michael, who is six years older than him and who has stayed away from the public since a skiing accident in 2013. “Unfortunately, sometimes life isn’t fair. We have to accept it,” says Ralf Schumacher to “Bunte”.

He has close contact with his brother’s family. “When I see his children Gina-Maria and Mick, my heart laughs,” said the 48-year-old. “If someone in the family is looking for my advice, I’m there. They go their own way. Just like my son.”
