The 50-year-old model repeatedly gave hints about her disguise via Instagram – and appeared in pictures and videos in a kind of red tulle cape and with make-up on her face that was reminiscent of aliens. Husband Tom Kaulitz was also seen, but still without a costume.
Klum had already fueled speculation in the days before Halloween. “The calm before the storm,” she wrote on Instagram under a photo in which she was seen naked on a plush sofa. “My motto this Halloween: Go big or go home.” She told host Jimmy Fallon on his show that her costume this year would be “gigantic”. To do this, she would have to have a few streets closed in Manhattan, which would be very difficult.
The German model hosts a big party for Halloween on October 31st every year and is known for extremely elaborate costumes. Last year, the Rhineland native and “Germany’s Next Top Model” presenter became a hit on social media as a giant worm. Before that, she had been transformed into a werewolf, an alien, or a significantly older version of herself. Many celebrity guests are expected to attend Klum’s Halloween event in New York this time.
