“Especially this year, since we had to struggle with the postponement of the premiere and illnesses in the team, this is a great and unexpected reward for our work,” says Susanna Bihari in an interview with the OÖN about the state’s stage art award (7,500 euros).
Together with Ulf Dückelmann, Bihari is responsible for the “theaterzeit//Freistadt” festival, which thrilled its audience this year with “The Prodigal Son” – Dückelmann’s text loosely based on Schiller’s “The Robbers”. “The pieces are each written and staged specifically, using the existing space in an exemplary manner,” said the jury.
The recognition prizes (1500 euros each) go to Waldaist stage, with “The Humanly Possible” created a strong stage adaptation of the film “Hasenjagd” by Andreas Gruber; also on Lisa Wildman (Festival at Tillysburg Castle) whether it is so intimately dense and playfully dazzling Solos “Fear” by Stefan Zweig. The award ceremony will take place on November 13th (5:30 p.m.) in the Linzer Kammerspiele.
