Rada, who has just sold out four dates with this proposal at the Sodre Auditorium in Montevideo, will return to Argentina in the company of Gustavo Montemurro, Nacho Mateu, Nelson Cedrés, Lobo Núñez and Noe Núñezas well as his children, the musicians Julieta, Lucila and Matías.

What will Rubén Rada’s show be like at Luna Park?
With that ensemble, the native of Montevideo will review the songs of El Kinto, the group he formed with Eduardo Mateo in the mid-60s and which consolidated them as pioneers in the particular fusion between candombe and rock; as well as Tótem, another of the fundamental bands on that path.
Along these lines, the memory of Opa, the candombe jazz band founded by Ringo Thielmann together with the brothers, will not be left out of the show. Hugo and Osvaldo Fattorusoand in which he participated for the recording of his second studio work, “Magic Time”, produced in the United States.
Finally, the presentation will be dedicated to Rada’s solo stage from the 80s onwards, a time in which he settled in Argentina and then in Mexico, with the most popular songs that made him an unavoidable figure in River Plate music, such as “Montevideo”, “Mind Projects” and “Malísimo”.

“After having recorded so many albums, I started thinking about the origins of Uruguayan music and I said to myself, why don’t I do a concert that unites these wonderful groups where I had the honor of participating? I started looking for songs of each one and, as I wrote, I became more and more excited,” Rada said in statements to the press about the show with which she celebrates her 80th.
Advance tickets for the show can now be purchased at the Luna Park box office (Av. Madero 420) or through the Ticketportal website.
