The actors Elena Uhlig (48) and Fritz Karl (55) talked about their three-day wedding celebration on a ship on the Danube. “We wanted to give our love an unforgettable celebration,” Karl told the magazine “Bunte” in a joint interview.
The youngest of their four children, their daughter Hedda, brought the diamond-studded gold rings to the altar at the ceremony. “It was so beautiful, much more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed of,” enthused Uhlig.
The couple, who have been together for 17 years and were traveling with the joint stage program “Relationship Status: Done” this year, invited friends and family to a river cruise on the Danube for three days. According to “Bunte”, the multi-day celebration began with a pajama party: “Many of our guests initially thought it was a joke when they were invited, but it was a brilliant way to connect everyone who didn’t know each other,” said Uhlig.
The actress told “Bunten” in September about Karl’s completely surprising marriage proposal. During a weekend in the mountains and in front of their children, the Austrian said: “You’ve been my wife for a long time – but do you want to marry me too?” She immediately began to cry and was shaking all over her body, said Uhlig.
