Rita Ora knows what she wants – this also applies to her marriage to Taika Waititi.
Hollywood director Taika Waititi (48) has told how British singer Rita Ora (32) proposed to him. “We were out to dinner and she said, ‘You know when people say, ‘Let’s take things slowly and see what happens?'” the New Zealander said on The Kelly Clarkson Show when asked about the wedding proposal became. Waititi said he agreed with his girlfriend at the time that he was aware of such relationships. “And she said, ‘Yeah, we’re not going to do that’.”
The “Thor: Love and Thunder” director said of the “For You” singer: “She’s great, you just don’t say no to Rita.” The New Zealander and the British woman met in 2018 and became a couple in 2021. The musician asked for his hand in marriage during a vacation last summer, as Waititi told Vogue last August: “Rita proposed to me and I said ‘yes’ straight away.” The wedding took place just a few weeks later in Los Angeles in early August.
