Andrea Ballschuh and “Lemon Tree” singer Peter Freudenthaler have been together for years. The presenter raves highly.
Ex-“Volle Kanne” presenter Andrea Ballschuh (51) and the German singer of the band Fools Garden, Peter Freudenthaler (60), have been together for four years.
Accordingly, the two met shortly before the corona pandemic at an event where both were busy professionally – she as a presenter, he as a musical act. “We started talking afterwards and were very friendly,” Ballschuh now tells the newspaper.

She goes on to rave about the “Lemon Tree” interpreter: Even at the first meeting, she was impressed that he was “such a positive, considerate, appreciative and polite person.” But that’s not all: “He thinks about others and does a lot to ensure that they are well. He understands that I work a lot and he loves me the way I am. He has never tried to change me.” She also loves his humor.
The couple does not live together yet. Instead, the two commute between their home in Mainz and Freudenthaler’s home, Pforzheim, for professional reasons.
Patchwork system works
Ballschuh separated from her husband, Jem Atai (59), in 2017 after ten years together. The ex-couple also keeps in touch because of their daughter. Freudenthaler also has two daughters and a son from a previous relationship. The patchwork system works, as the moderator reports: “We all get along really well! Jem and Peter have already gotten to know each other and always say hello to each other.”
