After a delay due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, production of the final season of Stranger Things of Netflix begin in early January, according to the Deadline portal.
Things are still changing, but several sources say Monday, January 8 is a planned start date, with January 5 also being mentioned.
Cast members are believed to be already in Atlanta, where filming is taking place. Stranger Thingsfor prep work, and table reads are also scheduled for the next few weeks before cameras start rolling in the new year.
Stranger Things was close to beginning production on Season 5 when the WGA strike began on May 2.
The scripts were already finished, but faced with the prospect of filming without writers on set, the Duffer Brothers creators, executive producers and showrunners opted to postpone production, which was then further delayed due to the actors’ strike.
Throughout this year, small updates have been arriving regarding the great outcome of the fiction starring Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink and Gaten Matarazzo.
