At the beginning of January, Frank Zander underwent head surgery. Now a follow-up examination is pending. The pop star has a special wish for his birthday in February.
According to his son, pop star Frank Zander (81) is on the mend after his head operation. “Not only do I have the feeling, but he says it himself – things are getting a little better every day. He got through the operation very well,” Marcus Zander told dpa. Next week there will be a follow-up examination at the Berlin Charité. His father is still sleeping a lot at the moment, said Marcus Zander. But there is a good sign: “He said that he likes his beer again. He also feels like painting again.”
At the end of December, the family announced that Frank Zander had been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a build-up of brain fluid. Frank Zander had head surgery at the beginning of January.
The entertainer turns 82 on February 4th. He said through his son that he wanted to celebrate his birthday quietly with his family. “He asked for Berlin roulades and I’ll cook them for him. I’m happy to do that,” says Marcus Zander.
