Royal family: After surgery: Princess Kate is back home

While King Charles is still in the clinic after his prostate operation, his daughter-in-law Kate returns home. She is supposed to recover from her operation there.

British Princess Kate (42) is back home after a long stay in the hospital. “The Princess of Wales is back home in Windsor to continue her recovery from her operation,” Kensington Palace said on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.

“She’s making good progress.” Together with her husband, heir to the throne Prince William (41), she wanted to thank the hospital team. The family is also grateful for the well wishes they have received from all over the world. Kate had abdominal surgery around two weeks ago. The reason for this is not known; it is not believed to be cancer.

King Charles III (75) spent a third night in the hospital after his prostate operation. His wife Queen Camilla visited the monarch three times at the private London Clinic on Sunday alone, British media reported. The 76-year-old smiled as she left the building in the evening. On Friday she reported that the king was doing well after the procedure.

King’s benign prostate enlargement is a common and easily treatable disease. According to the British National Health Service (NHS), a hospital stay of up to three days is common after this procedure. According to information from the German Press Agency, the king will then probably carry out his duties in a private environment for a month.
