During the event, she confirmed that the next project will see her venture into country and that it will be made together with her frequent collaborator, producer and leader of Bleachers, Jack Antonoffand country music creator Luke Laird.
“If you don’t already know from our award winners and our artists, the music business is going country,” he told the crowd (via Rolling Stone). “We are going to the field. It’s happening. That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, for the last four years.”
He also recalled his fondness for working with Antonoff, stating that he must have been “born under one of those talented and lucky musical stars.” He later praised the Bleachers singer as “one in a million.”
