The 19th season of “Germany’s Next Top Model” is currently running. She herself didn’t always have it easy at the beginning of her career, says Heidi Klum.
Heidi Klum also had to overcome resistance when she started out as a model. “Nobody wanted me in Paris and Milan,” said the 50-year-old in an interview with “Glamour” magazine. “I was too happy for them, never super thin. I was even labeled as too fat. It was the time of heroin chic. I didn’t fit in.” The so-called heroin chic refers to the fact that models looked almost as thin and emaciated as drug addicts.
She was very lucky, said Klum. “It’s funny: The people from back then all feel like they’re no longer there – including many of the models I worked with. I’m still here. At the end of the day, I’m glad that everything turned out the way it did, like it is. Otherwise I might have stopped a long time ago.”
The entrepreneur can currently be seen with the 19th season of her show “Germany’s Next Topmodel” (GNTM) on ProSieben.
