Star chef Tim Raue is afraid of heights – and will soon be cooking in the highest restaurant in the capital. How is he going to do that?
Despite his fear of heights, the Berlin star chef Tim Raue is opening a new restaurant in a year – in the Berlin television tower. It is scheduled to launch in March 2025 under the name “Sphere by Tim Raue”. How does he manage that? “I don’t know that yet either. Fear of heights cannot be controlled, but it’s worth it to me,” replied Raue to the question from the “Berliner Morgenpost.
“Once or twice I looked towards the window and my knees got really weak. But my kitchen is in the inner area, that’s where it works,” Raue continued. “I’m not seaworthy either and have successfully cooked on ships. An old captain told me to ‘eat a lot and have a few vodka shots’.” The newspaper “BZ” recently reported.
