The new bar in Belgrano with music by Bobby Flores

Quique Yafuso, with an extensive career as a partner and creator of Japanese restaurants in the Buenos Aires capital, and Cabito Massa Alcántara, comedian and gastronomic entrepreneur, are the people behind this project.

Mixtape is a bar inspired by the Kissa bars of Japan. Places where 100 years ago men went after work to drink a strong liquor like sake or whiskey and then, yes, get home. But these have a great feature, they are audio bars. You can relax with a cocktail in hand and listen to really thoughtful music at all times. Here the bar is starring the cocktails created by the great Pablo Pignatta and the music that accompanies them is designed by Bobby Flores.

The design concept and image of the place alludes to a large recording studio, a record store or a rehearsal room with sophisticated details, such as the two large speakers above the main bar or the smaller ones, distributed in the living room and the terrace. The DJ booth is strategically located in front of the bar and plays vinyl, CDs and lists that rotate day by day through genres such as jazz, blues or rock.

Its exclusive menu has a tapas format and was created by chef Martín Lukesch. Although the dishes have an Argentine imprint, each one has a Japanese touch in line with the place’s proposal and is cooked on a charcoal grill or in a kamado. Some of the suggested ones are the osso buco wantan, the grilled bao with artisanal salchiparri and creole sauce, and the black pudding with shari and green apple dressing. In addition, they offer two classic desserts with a twist: vigilante with quince, sweet potato and cuartirolo and strawberries with cream, hibiscus and roses.

Everything can be accompanied with signature cocktails from bartender Pablo Pignatta, such as The Gimlet (Prophet Gin, lime and ginger cordial), The Sazerac (with Rittenhouse rye whiskey, syrup, Peychauds bitters and absinthe), or the Apple Martini ( vodka, granny Smith apple cordial and elderberry).

In a few well-used meters, Mixtape invites you to live several experiences in a single night and is ideal for a group or couple outing.
