The actor couple Emily VanCamp (37) and Josh Bowman (36) are happy about the birth of their second child. After daughter Iris (2), the two welcomed another girl. The “Revenge” actress also announced the little one’s name in a post.
The second daughter is called Rio Rose
The Canadian announced the beautiful news on April 14th on Instagram and revealed that her second daughter was born on March 12th. “Welcome to the world, little girl,” the proud mother wrote alongside a black-and-white photo that shows a detail of the baby’s face and two little fingers. She also shared the name: Rio Rose. “We love you so much,” she added, garnished with red hearts.
She only announced her pregnancy again in February. She also published two baby bump photos on her Instagram page. In the first black and white picture, she posed alone in front of a bare wall. Because she was turned to the side, her stomach was clearly visible under her dark sweater. In the second black and white photo, she showed herself with husband Bowman and daughter Iris. It said: “Not for long. Ready when you are, little one.”
Met and fell in love on set
Emily VanCamp and her British colleague Josh Bowman have been a couple since 2011, getting engaged in May 2017 and getting married in December 2018. The couple met while filming the TV series “Revenge,” which aired from 2011 to 2015. In it they played the couple Emily Thorne and Daniel Grayson. In December 2023, VanCamp announced to her husband, “Married 5 years, together 12. What a beautiful ride it’s been. I love the life we’ve built, our wild adventures, but most of all the little family we’ve created. Happy anniversary, my love. I can’t wait for what’s to come.”
VanCamp kept her first pregnancy private. She announced the birth of her daughter on Instagram in August 2021 with a picture showing little Iris’s hand clasping her mother’s finger. “Welcome to the world our sweet little Iris,” VanCamp wrote. “Our hearts are full.”
