Almost head over heels, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan left London and their lives as senior royals in March 2020 after a few final engagements. At that time, Harry filmed himself on the plane and called it a “freedom flight” that he was on. Now, four years later, the Duke has taken another step that separates him from his homeland.
Prince Harry changes his residence
On the “Company House” page, where company entries and documents of all kinds can be viewed, Harry has officially changed his place of residence at his company Travalyst – four years after he and Meghan emigrated. Instead of Great Britain it now says USA. Harry also stated the time of the official change. The USA has been his place of residence since June 29th last year.
In the past, Prince Harry has repeatedly emphasized how important Great Britain still is to him today. “The United Kingdom is central to my children’s heritage and a place where they should feel as at home as where they currently live in the United States,” he recently told the court in writing. The Duke has been trying to secure police protection for himself and his family when they are on “British soil” for some time. However, since such protection is tax-funded and Harry is no longer a senior royal, there are problems.

A few days ago, Prince Harry failed in an appeal against the reduction in his police protection during visits to Great Britain.
