Cher: These are the new additions to the “Hall of Fame”

At the next induction ceremony into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” some big names will once again be inducted into the hall of fame.

Since 1986, the greatest and most influential musicians in the international rock and pop world have been honored in the legendary “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” in Cleveland, Ohio. The recording takes place at the earliest 25 years after the release of the respective artist’s first record. Musician Lionel Richie (74) and presenter Ryan Seacrest (49) announced on Sunday evening during the TV show “American Idol” which superstars will be at the next induction ceremony on October 19, 2024.

This time, in addition to Cher (77) and Ozzy Osbourne (75), those chosen include R&B icon Mary J. Blige (53), the hip-hop band A Tribe Called Quest, Foreigner, Peter Frampton (74), and Dave Matthews Band and 80s legends Kool & the Gang.

Sinéad O’Connor, Lenny Kravitz and Oasis come away empty-handed

Scary rocker and reality star Ozzy Osbourne is being inducted for the second time, having secured a place in the hall of fame in 2006 as a member of Black Sabbath. Previous nominees who were not allowed to be included this year include Sinéad O’Connor (1966-2023), Mariah Carey (55), Sade (65), Lenny Kravitz (59) and Oasis.
