Back in the ring: The Rolling Stones started a new tour

The phenomenon (at this point in history) of Rolling Stones does not stop. More than 60 years after their first show, the band led by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood started a new tour last night with a show in Houston.

“It’s great to be back in the Lone Star State,” Jagger said at the packed stadium, filled with longtime fans, many of them wearing faded concert T-shirts from previous tours.

Jagger entertained the crowd with seemingly limitless energy on Sunday, as Richards and Wood played many fan-loved guitar riffs.

“The energy level is high and it is always high with them. Their age is not noticeable”Dale Skjerseth, the Rolling Stones’ production director, said Friday before the concert.

The band has started their tour to promote their latest album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ and Houston was the first stop on the tour, which will pass through 16 cities in the United States and Canada. They will visit, among other cities, New Orleans, Philadelphia and Vancouver. The tour ends July 17 in Santa Clara, California.
