Queen Rock Montreal comes to Disney+ after its premiere in IMAX theaters

The original concerts, on November 24 and 25, 1981, were specifically performed to be filmed into a feature film documenting the live show.

After unprecedented success as the biggest IMAX exclusive premiere of all time, Queen Rock Montreal makes its global streaming debut on May 15 on Disney+as the first concert film available in IMAX Enhanced sound powered by DTS.

Queen Rock Montreal presents Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon at its most exciting moment. The original concerts, on November 24 and 25, 1981, were specifically performed to be filmed into a feature film documenting the live show.

Subscribers with certified IMAX Enhanced devices will be able to enjoy the full dynamic range of the most passionate moments from the digitally remastered concert film, which captures the world’s most iconic rock band at the peak of their artistic power live.

Along with the release of the film, IMAX Enhanced sound is also applied for the 18 films in Marvel fan favorites immersing subscribers in the action like never before. The announcement was made by Disney+, IMAX Corporation and DTS, a subsidiary of Xperi Inc.

The film was restored for IMAX by Mercury Studios. Executive producers include Geoff Kempin and Alice Webb for Mercury Studios and Jim Beach and Matilda Beach for Queen Films.
