Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer to star in The Death of Robin Hood

The film, which will be directed by Michal Sarnoski, is a darker reimagining of the classic Robin Hood tale.

The Oscar nominee Hugh Jackman (The Miserables) and the Emmy winner Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) will star in the new movie The death of Robin Hoodwe can reveal.

Director of Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One, Michael Sarnoski, is the writer and director of the project, which will be among the most popular titles on sale at this month’s Cannes market through WME Independent. The producer of Arrival and The Prestige, Aaron Ryderis among the production team.

What will “The Death of Robin Hood” be about?

The film is a darker reinvention of the classic tale of Robin Hood. Set in his time, the film will see the main character grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, a battle-worn loner who finds himself seriously injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman who offers him a chance at salvation. Production will begin in February 2025.

“It has been an incredible opportunity to reinvent and innovate the story we all know of Robin Hood,” Sarnoski reflected. “It was essential to get the perfect cast to transform the script on screen. “I couldn’t be more excited and confident in Hugh and Jodie to bring this story to life in a powerful and meaningful way.”

Jackman will soon be seen co-starring Deadpool & Wolverine from Disney with Ryan Reynolds. Comer recently made her Broadway and West End debut in Prima facie of Suzie Miller and this year it will be seen in The Bikeriders next to Austin Butler. It is currently in production 28 years after Danny Boyle.
