Fans have to be patient: Both the “heute-show” and the “ZDF Magazin Royale” are taking a break in the summer. One of the satirical formats at least broadcasts some specials.
The popular ZDF satire format “heute-show” with Oliver Welke will go on summer break in 2024 at the same time as Jan Böhmermann’s “ZDF Magazin Royale”. On June 7, both shows will be broadcast for the last time for around three months.
The news satire “heute-show” is taking a break for 13 weeks and will return with a regular edition on September 6. Böhmermann will be back a week earlier – on August 30.
Once again there are specials from the “heute-Show” during the summer break: “On Friday, June 28th, 2024, as well as on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, and on Friday, August 30th, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. “today- show special” episodes with Lutz van der Horst and Fabian Köster on the ZDF program,” said a station spokesman in Mainz. There will also be a “history show today” with Valerie Niehaus on July 12th.
