Sean “Diddy” Combs: Another lawsuit for sexual abuse

The chain of allegations continues: Another ex-lover sued Sean “Diddy” Combs on Thursday for sexual abuse.

The allegations against rap star and music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs (54) seem to have no end. Just on Tuesday, ex-model Crystal McKinney filed a lawsuit against the 54-year-old. She accuses him of drugging her and sexually abusing her. As NBC News reports, another ex-lover is now accusing him of drugging and physically abusing her in the 1990s.

Abused several times since 1995?

Diddy’s youngest alleged abuse victim is said to be April Lampros, now 51 years old. She filed a lawsuit against the music mogul in New York County Supreme Court on Thursday. In it, she accuses the ex-rapper of drugging, attacking and abusing her on several occasions starting in 1995. Lampros is specifically suing Combs for assault, sexual assault, infliction of emotional distress and gender-based violence.

Accusation: Four sexual assaults

In the complaint, which NBC News has obtained, Lampros describes how she met Combs in 1994. At the time, she was studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. He promised to put her in touch with industry contacts. Shortly thereafter, he began to behave “aggressively” and “obsessively” towards her. According to the complaint, Combs subsequently sexually assaulted her four times.

The first attack is said to have taken place in a bar in 1995. The musician allegedly pressured the woman to drink. She told him that she felt “uncomfortable” after taking a few sips. She was then taken to a car to drive away with Combs. She claims that Combs raped her that evening in a hotel. She begged him to stop before she passed out.

Gifts and flowers after the first incident

Lampros goes on to say that Combs sent her gifts and flowers for months after the incident. He convinced her to give him another chance. But a short time later, he forced her to perform oral sex on him as they walked from his apartment to a parking garage. In a third incident, she was with Combs’ then-girlfriend Kim Porter (+2018) in Combs’ apartment in Manhattan. At the time, he shoved ecstasy down their throats and demanded sex from Porter and Lampros.

“So that no woman has to go through the same thing”

According to the lawsuit, Lampros ended her relationship with Combs in 1998. Two years later, she met him at an event. And again he harassed her: According to the lawsuit, he called her for days afterwards. “Reluctantly” she then met with him to hear what he had to say. Again he stormed up to her without warning, grabbed her, harassed her, kissed her and touched her without her consent. She was only just able to fend off worse. In a statement on May 23, Lampros said: “I am confident that justice will prevail so that no other woman has to go through what I went through.” Representatives for Combs did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday evening.

Series of shocking allegations

Lampros’ lawsuit is one of a wave of allegations against the former rap star. In November 2023, he reached a settlement with his long-term partner Casandra Ventura (37). Ventura had accused Diddy of multiple abuses during their ten-year relationship. Despite the settlement, Diddy claimed that it was not an admission of guilt. Parts of the public had also doubted Ventura’s statements – before CNN published a shocking video on May 17. In the surveillance camera clip, Combs storms through a hotel hallway in Los Angeles before pushing, kicking and dragging Ventura across the floor. The 54-year-old recently apologized for his actions in the surveillance video in an Instagram post.
