When the Australian was to be immortalized with a handprint in front of a cinema in Hollywood years ago, he assumed that this would give him his star on the “Walk of Fame”.
Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth (“Mad Max”) says he mistakenly believed years ago that he would be honored with a star on the “Walk of Fame.” The 40-year-old Australian confessed to the US magazine “Variety” that he feared this story would make him look “like an idiot.”
In 2019, Hemsworth and other “Avengers” actors were immortalized with handprints on the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. “I thought it was the Walk of Fame!” the “Thor” actor now reports. “I took part as if I knew exactly what was happening. Only afterwards did I ask myself: ‘So, where is the star?'”
Five years later, the Australian actually received a star on the famous “Walk of Fame”. In front of colleagues such as Robert Downey Jr. (“Avengers”) and Anya Taylor-Joy (“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga”), Hemsworth unveiled his own star plaque on the sidewalk in the heart of Hollywood this Thursday (local time).
