Healing stones and tarot as a source of strength: Spirituality has become a lifesaver for Gaby Köster after her stroke.
Spirituality has become a lifesaver for Gaby Köster (62) after her stroke “in many areas”. The actress and comedian revealed this in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”. She had been spiritual all her life, “but this damn stroke brought me much closer to all the different spiritual topics like healing stones, tarot cards, aura soma, chakra treatments,” she explained.
Gaby Köster, who had a stroke in 2008 and has been dependent on a wheelchair since then, has written a new book called “My Energy Transition” which will be published in early June. She is not trying to promote esotericism, says the 62-year-old in an interview with “Bunte”. She knows, says the entertainer, that “without modern conventional medicine she would not live as she does today”. But she is convinced that “spirituality can make life easier and turn short-term satisfaction into deeper happiness”.
“I just don’t give up hope”
In addition, Gaby Köster revealed in the “Bunte” interview that she is “happy within the limits of my possibilities. It’s not like I’m giving up and saying that now it is what it is.” She adds: “I just don’t give up hope that my health will improve and that I’ll be able to walk again at some point. To run across a meadow again “that would be one of my wishes,” says Köster, who became known through the TV shows “RTL Saturday Night,” “7 Days, 7 Heads” and her comedy series “Rita’s World,” among others.
Gaby Köster had already written the book “Ein Schnupfen würde auch reichend – meine zweite Chance” (A cold would have been enough – my second chance) about the time after the stroke, which was published in 2011 and later made into a film. In the same year, she also appeared in public for the first time again.
