“I don’t know exactly what the story is, I haven’t heard it,” GK UK said in an interview. “Maybe I’ll find out eventually. I like playing that character. I learned a lot playing the character. I enjoyed it a lot. I would only do it if it was appropriate in terms of, you know, the age I am now and so on. I would only do it if it was right for the character.. “It would be foolish to do it any other way.”

Viggo Mortensen used Aragorn’s sword again
In the same interview, the actor revealed that he used Aragorn’s iconic sword Andúril from “The Lord of the Rings” in his last film, The Dead Don’t Hurt. Mortensen wrote and directed the 19th-century western, in which he plays a Danish immigrant separated from his love (Vicky Krieps) during the Civil War.
For a fantasy sequence in the film, Mortensen asked Peter Jackson if he had his permission to use Aragorn’s sword again on screen. Mortensen kept the sword after his role in the trilogy.
“We had everything for this sequence with a gentleman. “We had found this big, energetic horse, the right kind of saddle, we made a kind of medieval blanket and we had the costume for the knight,” Mortensen explained. “Everything was fine, and then I said, well, we should have a sword. And I looked and there were some good ones and I thought, well, could be good to use [la espada de Aragorn] which I had because it’s really good. But I knew I would have to ask permission because I’m sure someone would notice, even if you only see it for a few seconds, it’s not really essential to the scene and certainly not to the movie, it’s just a passing thing that you see or you don’t see.
“I asked Peter Jackson if he would be okay with it and he said, ‘Well, is it very important to the story?’ I said no, it really isn’t,” Mortensen continued. “You barely notice it, but someone probably will. He said that was fine with him, but that he should ask the film company. So I contacted them and they agreed. They realized that it was not essential and that it was not going to attract much attention. AND They were very kind about it and gave us permission. That’s why we did it, just because it seemed right. “It was kind of a last-minute accident.”
