Rumer Willis: Bruce Willis blossoms again as a grandfather

In an interview, Rumer Willis reported positive news about her sick father. He is doing a great job as a grandfather.

Since the 1980s, Bruce Willis (“Die Hard”, 69) has been considered one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars. Last year, his family announced that the actor was suffering from dementia and would never appear in front of the camera again. Since then, his older daughters Rumer (35), Tallulah (30) and Scout Willis (32) have repeatedly spoken about their father in interviews and on social media with health updates and emotional messages. For a change, the eldest daughter Rumer gave almost exclusively positive insights into her family life with her sick father.

Rumer on her father’s role as a grandfather: “He does it so well”

There, the actress described how much it warmed her heart to see her father Bruce in his new role as an action grandfather, which he has held since the birth of their daughter Louetta (1) in April 2023. There she reported: “He’s doing so well. I actually saw him just before I arrived in New York. Lou is just starting to walk a little bit. She walked over to him and it was so sweet to see.”

Seeing him so happy despite his illness brings back many childhood memories. Her father is a real “girl dad” and really enjoys spending time with his little granddaughter. In her opinion, being a grandparent is one of the best phases of life. “You have all the love and joy without having any responsibility,” says Rumer Willis. “You can just spoil them.”

Action star is father of five daughters

In addition to his granddaughter Louetta, Bruce Willis is currently also kept busy by his two youngest daughters Mabel (12) and Evelyn (10), whom he shares with his wife Emma Heming-Willis (45). He was previously married to fellow actress Demi Moore (61) from 1987 to 2000.
