The musician says in an interview that he even worked for his success on Christmas Eve.
Musician, producer and “Germany’s Next Top Model” juror Dieter Bohlen was already extremely ambitious as a child. “When I was eleven, I told everyone that I wanted to be famous and rich,” the 70-year-old told the Bremen “Weser-Kurier”.
Bohlen admitted that he doesn’t understand the term “work-life balance”: “For me, I sat there all day, all weekend, all night long to achieve my goal.” He often sat in the studio with his musicians on Christmas Eve. “We were all crazy back then. I don’t think there is anything like that anymore. And that’s okay.”
In his opinion, not many people have such ambition these days, said Bohlen. Success against reason and against health no longer exists. That’s a good thing. His career path was relatively difficult: “People always think that it was a lot of luck – that’s part of it – but sometimes you have to torture yourself until luck comes.”
