The title of the program would coincide with the logline since the new mockumentary will follow the people behind a newspaper. “The documentary crew that immortalized the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin is searching for a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the editor attempts to revive it with volunteer reporters.”

Daniels opened a writers room in January 2024 to begin work on the remake of the hit NBC mockumentary comedy, which aired from 2005 to 2013 and was adapted from the British series of the same name by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
