In addition to RTL Deutschland, the Munich-based film companies Constantin Film and Neue Super are also on board, according to the announcement. “A second season with 13 new episodes of 25 minutes each will be produced for RTL+, RTL and Toggo. In addition, a feature film is being produced for Constantin Film under the title ‘Pumuckl and the Great Misunderstanding (working title)’, which tells a very unique, self-contained story about the goblin and Florian Eder.”

Filming for the new Pumuckl productions is currently underway in Munich and the surrounding area. Marcus H. Rosenmüller is reportedly directing both productions, based on scripts by producer and head writer Korbinian Dufter and head writer Matthias Pacht. Florian Brückner is in front of the camera as Florian Eder in the lead role and Maxi Schafroth lends his voice to Pumuckl.
