US actress Dakota Fanning (30) says that Hollywood star Tom Cruise (61) gives her shoes as a birthday present every year. When she turned eleven, they filmed the movie “War of the Worlds” together, and Cruise gave Fanning her first cell phone, as Fanning said on the “Kelly Clarkson Show”.
“After the cell phone, he sent me the same thing every year,” she explained, referring to the shoes. “When I was on the press tour for ‘War of the Worlds,’ I started to fit into really small adult shoes,” which she was very excited about. Cruise has therefore always given her shoes since her twelfth birthday.
In Steven Spielberg’s 2005 film “War of the Worlds,” Cruise and Fanning play father and daughter who must save themselves from aliens.
