The well-known theater, film and television actor Alan Scarfe has died. He died at the end of April at the age of 77.
Mourning for Alan Scarfe (1946-2024). The British actor, who was known for his appearance in the 1992 action film “Lethal Weapon 3”, has died. Scarfe died on April 28th of this year. An obituary states that he died “peacefully” in his home in Longueuil, Canada. The cause of death is given as colon cancer.
Known from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Double Impact”
Scarfe began his acting career in the 1970s in the theater. Over the course of his long career, he repeatedly played villains – for example in the aforementioned “Lethal Weapon 3” or in the action film classic “Double Impact” (German title: “Geballte Ladung”) from 1991, with Jean-Claude Van Damme (63) in a double role. The actor also appeared in sci-fi series. For example, he appeared in one episode each of the “Star Trek” series “The Next Generation” and “Voyager.”
“Science fiction in film and television, especially when you’re playing an alien character with fantastic makeup, is ideal for actors with a strong stage background,” Scarfe said. “The productions need that kind of scale and intensity of performance. As a Klingon, you can’t really mumble.”
