The two-time Oscar winner turns 80 in September. In an interview, Michael Douglas appears relaxed about it.

Hollywood star Michael Douglas tries to take age in his stride. “I believe the inner child always remains. Unfortunately, the outer cladding changes dramatically,” the 79-year-old told the “Bild” newspaper. The Oscar winner turns 80 on September 25. “I don’t try to hide my age and I talk openly about it with friends and family,” he said. When asked whether getting older also has positive aspects, Douglas told “Bild”: “I wouldn’t necessarily say there are advantages, but you don’t have to prove anything to yourself anymore.”

Douglas has won an Oscar twice and is married to Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones (54). The couple have two children together. Douglas was most recently seen in the miniseries “Franklin” on the streaming service AppleTV+ as Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of the United States. At the beginning of the month, he traveled to Israel on a solidarity visit. The actor visited the sites of the Hamas massacre on October 7 and met relatives of hostages held in the Gaza Strip, the “Jerusalem Post” reported.
