“With my daughter Gilead and my granddaughter Mila, we are deeply saddened to announce the departure of my mother Anouk Aimée,” the statement reads. “I was at her side when she passed away this morning at her home in Paris.”

Aimée accumulated nearly 100 credits over her decades-long career. She is perhaps best known for her role in the film Federico Fellini, The Sweet Life. He later reteamed with Fellini for his enigmatic epic 8½. He then worked with some of the leading filmmakers of the new wave of world cinema, including Jacques Demy, Bernardo Bertolucci and Robert Altman. Some of her other credits include The Appointment (1969), Long live the life (1983), Ready-to-Wear (1994), La Petite prairie aux bouleaux (2003) and All the soleils (2011).
However, he received the most critical praise for his lead role in the 1967 drama Claude Lelouch A Man and a Woman (A man and a woman). She won the Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Actress and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress for the film and was nominated for an Oscar. In 2002 she received the honorary César Award. The following year she received an Honorary Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Aimée was born as Nicole Françoise Florence Dreyfus in Paris on April 27, 1932. His parents, Geneviève Sorya and Henry Dreyfus, were actors. He made his film debut at age 14 in The house under the sea by Henri Calef. His last film credit was The best years of a lifeby Claude Lelouch.
