Daniel Brühl, along with two other stars of the film industry, is delighted to receive an award at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival.
Actor Daniel Brühl (46) is no longer just a national celebrity – with roles in “Inglourious Basterds”, “Rush” and, not least, his appearance as a charismatic villain in the Marvel universe, he has risen to the top of Hollywood’s dream factory. Brühl will soon receive special recognition for his work in the film industry to date: reports say that the Barcelona-born star is one of this year’s honorary award winners at this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
In illustrious company
According to the report, Brühl will receive the President’s Award at the event, which will take place from June 28 to July 6. He is in illustrious company with this honor, as two other stars are also up for the award: “Lord of the Rings” star Viggo Mortensen (65) and “Children of Men” actor Clive Owen (59) are also among this year’s award winners.
Mortensen is now also working as a director – his western “The Dead Don’t Hurt” will be the opening film at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. According to the organizers, director Steven Soderbergh (61) will also be there and present two of his works – “Mr. Kneff” from 2021 and his film “Kafka” from 1991.
