Football professional Nico Schlotterbeck was delighted to receive a very special visit to the stadium during Germany’s second European Championship match on 19 June.
Nico Schlotterbeck (24) was not allowed to play on the pitch during the German national team’s second victory at the European Championships at home – but he received a particularly sweet visit. Photos show the defender on June 19 in the stadium in Stuttgart accompanied by his partner and their baby.
Schlotterbeck, who sat on the bench during the match against Hungary, ran to the stands after the final whistle, where his girlfriend Sabrina handed him his child. The baby was dressed from head to toe in Germany gear, with one sweet detail: to protect it from the noise of the stadium, it wore huge yellow headphones with the logo of Borussia Dortmund, his father’s club. The child was visibly comfortable in his father’s arms amidst all the hustle and bustle and grinned into the photographers’ cameras next to his parents.
Privacy is sacred to Nico Schlotterbeck
Nico Schlotterbeck usually keeps his private life out of the public eye. That’s why it was the first time he showed himself with his baby. The BVB star does not usually share private photos. The surprise was all the greater when BVB boss Hans-Joachim Watzke (64) announced at a general meeting in November 2023 that the footballer had become a father. The couple had kept the pregnancy secret, and to date Schlotterbeck has not commented on his new family life.
Little is known about his partner Sabrina either. In an interview with “rbb24” in 2021, the footballer mentioned that he lives with his girlfriend. According to media reports, the two have been together since 2020. But perhaps Schlotterbeck will soon surprise us with the next good news – because a sparkling diamond ring can be seen on Sabrina’s left ring finger in the photo from the stadium.
