The French singer Manu Chao He released an unreleased song on Wednesday and announced a new album for September, 17 years after his last studio album.
“The next album ‘Viva Tú’ will be released on September 20, 2024”wrote the musician and unrepentant traveler, who at 63 years old maintains an aura of mystery about his life, his residence or his projects.
Chao posted the news on his website, a month after releasing a first single, also titled “Long Live You”.
On Wednesday he published a second topic, “Sao Paulo Motoboy”a hymn to the motorcycle delivery drivers of the Brazilian megacity.

Manu Chao He is the author of only four studio albums, from “Clandestine” (1998), a mix of reggae, rock, raï, samba, impregnated with Latin music that became a legend, until “The Radiolina” (2007). In that period, she collaborated on projects with Bomba Estéreo, Rumbakana, Charlart58, Carlangas, Dani Lança and Calypso Rose, among others. He is also currently on a world tour, with stops in Spain, Italy and France scheduled until September.
