In the future, music legend Elton John and his husband David Furnish want to focus primarily on their two sons.
Elton John (77) and his husband David Furnish (61) have once again reviewed the grand finale of their “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” farewell tour, which runs from September 2018 to July 2023. “At the last show in Stockholm on the farewell tour to Glastonbury, I got in the car and said, ‘Yes! Yes!'” recalls the legendary Rocket Man in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight”. “We left at the peak, just like I wanted, and after that there was no turning back.”
When asked whether he could imagine giving concerts again, he answered, as expected, with a brief “no” – and then let his husband David have his say. “He did that for 60 years,” he added. So it was nice to finally be able to spend more time at home with the family.
“We don’t want to miss anything”
“We have our sons, you know, they’re entering their teenage years now,” Furnish explained, referring to the couple’s two children, Zachary (13) and Elijah (11), who were born via surrogate. “We don’t want to miss anything. We want to be there,” said the Canadian film producer. “I think it’s kind of a pivotal decade in a child’s life.”
