The concern for Heinz Hoenig remains. On the occasion of an anniversary, his wife Annika Kärsten-Hoenig appears combative on Instagram.

Annika Kärsten-Hoenig (39) continues to fear for the life of her husband Heinz Hoenig (72). The seriously ill actor is waiting in a hospital for a life-saving operation. Now his wife has recalled a defining moment for the couple and is fighting back: “Six years ago today we kissed for the first time,” she wrote. “Six weeks later we were engaged and have been going through life together ever since.”

Like Bonnie and Clyde

At the moment, times are particularly difficult for the two of them. Heinz Hoenig has been in hospital since the beginning of May. The couple are climbing their “personal Mount Everest”. “We started together and will never stop,” the post continues, with Kärsten-Hoenig publishing a picture of herself and her husband. The post shows the couple arm in arm from behind. They are wearing matching T-shirts in the style of a jersey with the numbers 6 and 9 on the back. Hers has the name “Bonnie” emblazoned on it and his has “Clyde”.

They would continue their journey together “hand in hand and step by step” until they reached their goal, Kärsten-Hoenig wrote combatively. “And that means: one day being reunited as a family and being allowed to go home.” The couple has been married since 2019 and have two children together.

Concern for Heinz Hoenig

Heinz Hoenig was admitted to hospital in a life-threatening condition at the beginning of May. In addition to a bacterial infection, a hole in his esophagus was found, which had to be repaired in an initial operation. A vital operation on the aorta, where the bacterial infection had spread and damaged a stent that had been inserted years ago, is still pending. Since the actor does not have health insurance, donations are being asked to finance the treatment.
