Emma Roberts: “I don’t want to date actors anymore”

Hollywood star Emma Roberts (33) doesn’t want to date actors anymore. She has made that clear in one statement. “I think it’s difficult for two actors to be together,” she said.

Emma Roberts herself comes from a family of actors. Her father Eric Roberts (68) works in the industry, and she is also the niece of Hollywood star Julia Roberts (56). Emma Roberts has not strayed far from Hollywood in her dating life either.

She was in a relationship with actor and musician Garrett Hedlund (39) from 2019 to 2022; the couple has one child together. Emma Roberts was previously in a long-term partnership with actor Evan Peters (37), whom she met in 2012. The two were in a turbulent on/off relationship over a period of seven years. In 2019, the two stars finally went their separate ways. After separating from Hedlund, Roberts was seen with actor Cody John (32), according to US media reports. The two were last seen in March of this year, but the new interview with Roberts is causing confusion.

In the interview with “Flaunt,” the “American Horror Story” actress did not comment on her current relationship status with John. However, she revealed that her current boyfriend works in the entertainment industry but is not an actor. This information speaks against John. In addition, Roberts was spotted with an unknown man at the Coachella Festival in April 2024. She also revealed in the interview that her current partner does not have any social media accounts, which the actress finds pleasant.

She told “Flaunt”: “One day the veil was lifted and I didn’t want to date actors anymore.” She added that a relationship between two actors – in her opinion – is complicated. Her previous partners had bordered on method actors, which she found “extremely” stressful in a relationship.

In method acting, actors often remain in their roles away from the film set in order to establish a more intense relationship with their characters.
