Christina Applegate is brutally honest about her MS illness. Now she has addressed an intimate problem.
Actress Christina Applegate (52) is very open about her MS illness. In her interview with her friend Jamie-Lynn Sigler (42), who also suffers from MS, she addressed a piquant subject. In the July 2 episode, Applegate referred to Sigler as the “Simon to my Garfunkel” and used this to quickly change the subject: “That’s exactly what my bush looks like right now,” she joked, referring to Art Garfunkel’s (82) iconic curly hair.
“People with MS can empathize with this”
A brief pause was followed by giggles from both women. Applegate then explained the difficulty she has shaving her bikini line because of her illness. “Shave if your belly is as big as mine,” she said. She has to lift it up to reach the area. “You’re one-handed, trying to stand and you fall over in the shower. I know a lot of people with MS can relate to that,” said the 52-year-old.
For Sigler, this also seems to be a familiar problem. “You have to sit on the floor,” she said. “You literally have to sit on the floor of your shower and contort yourself in weird ways.”
Christina Applegate speaks brutally honestly about her illness. In June, she said in a podcast episode that she could no longer enjoy life and did not have as much fun as she used to. She also spoke openly about the mental health problems that came with her MS. In 2021, she made her illness public, just a few months after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
