“Kaulitz & Kaulitz” was launched on Netflix on June 25th. However, it has not yet been a big success in their adopted home of the USA.
“Kaulitz & Kaulitz” is on everyone’s lips. The docu-reality soap about Tokio Hotel twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz has been running on Netflix since June 25th and has already made headlines. In Germany and Austria, the series entered the streaming charts at number one. However, it has not yet been a big success in non-German-speaking countries.
One million streams
the eight episodes, which provide an insight into the lives of the musicians, were not a particular triumph for the US streaming service in the first week. Between June 24 and 30, Netflix reported one million views with a viewing time of 5.9 million streaming hours. The streaming service rounded up the viewing figures, as the series has a running time of six hours and twelve minutes.
In addition to first place in Germany and Austria, “Kaulitz & Kaulitz” made it to second place in the charts in Switzerland and fourth place in Luxembourg. There were no other top ten placements in non-German-speaking countries, although Tokio Hotel also enjoyed huge success outside of Germany and Heidi Klum also plays a role as another international celebrity. In the worldwide non-English-speaking TV charts, it was still enough for tenth place.
Kaulitz & Kaulitz: Other documentaries are ahead
The one million streams are a moderate success in comparison. The fourth season of the Brazilian version of the reality show “Love Is Blind”, for example, achieved two million views in its first week, putting it second in the international charts. The US documentaries “Worst Roommate Ever” (season two) and “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” collected a total of 5.7 and 3.7 million views respectively last week.
