Actor Mike Heslin has died of heart failure at the age of just 30. Doctors are apparently faced with a mystery.
Mike Heslin (1994-2024) is dead. The young actor died unexpectedly at the age of just 30, as his husband Scotty Dynamo announced on social media. “On July 2, my husband, best friend and soulmate Mike Heslin passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week-long battle in the hospital,” he announced on Instagram. How this could have happened is a mystery to doctors: “Michael was young, in excellent health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened.”
Mike Heslin married his partner only six months ago
The couple had only married about half a year ago. “On November 11, 2023, I had the great honor of marrying my best friend and it was truly the best weekend of my entire LIFE!!!”, Heslin also wrote on Instagram in December alongside pictures of the two.
“Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented and a true guardian angel,” Dynamo says now. His partner supported him in his battle against cancer and Heslin was the person you called when you wanted to share good news or needed a shoulder to lean on or advice. “He was truly the kindest, most caring and loving person on earth and he brought out the absolute best in everyone who had the pleasure of crossing his path.” Heslin made everyone around him a better version of themselves.
Heart failure: Heslin gives “four different families the gift of life”
His partner was his world, Dynamo explains. “Just a week ago we were just starting a family and were discussing our favorite baby names for our future children.” The deceased would have been the best possible father, he writes. “If I ever become a father, I will name my son after you and hope that I manage to raise him to be at least half the man you were.” But he takes comfort in the knowledge that Heslin, as an organ donor, has given “four different families the gift of life.” He is now in a better place and heaven has gained another angel.
Heslin has worked as an actor and was most recently seen in the series “Special Ops: Lioness”, in which Zoë Saldaña plays the lead role. His other roles have included engagements in “The Influencers”, “The Holiday Propsal Plan” and “Younger”.
