Jürgen Drews’ stage career actually ended last year, which makes his appearance all the more surprising.
Jürgen Drews (79) surprised his fans with a performance in Brandenburg. The pop singer (“Ein Bett im Kornfeld”) had actually said goodbye to the stage with a big show last year. Now he performed with his daughter Joelina (28) at the “SchlagerHammer” in Oranienburg.
Lucas Cordalis, Klaus & Klaus, Annemarie Eilfeld and Paulina Wagner were among those announced to appear at the Schlager Radio show in the castle park. According to the information, a special highlight was planned to be the awarding of the Schlager Radio Prize to singer Michelle for her life’s work.
Farewell already celebrated
Drews, also known as the King of Mallorca by his fans, had already announced his retirement from the stage for autumn 2021. In 2023, the farewell show “For the very last time: The big Schlager farewell” with Drews was broadcast on ARD.
Last year’s show was hosted by pop star Florian Silbereisen, and Andreas Gabalier, Roland Kaiser and Mickie Krause were among those taking part. The album “Geil war’s … Danke Jürgen!” was also released.
