Singer, author and entertainer Rocko Schamoni is not only a cult figure in his hometown of Hamburg. The member of the legendary “Studio Braun” will soon be seen as an ancient vampire alongside Fahri Yardim.
The musician, author and actor Rocko Schamoni (58, “Studio Braun”) has become a vampire – this will soon be seen in the black humor streaming series “Der Upir” on Joyn. “I’m very close to Tolkien’s cuddly vampires,” Schamoni explained his role with a grin at a press event in Hamburg.
The second main role is played by “Jerks” star Fahri Yardim (43) as vampire Eddie, who is always at the service of his ancient bearded vampire master Igor (Schamoni). Even when it comes to disposing of an unwanted corpse as inconspicuously as possible. “Der Upir” is produced by UFA Fiction on behalf of the streaming platform Joyn. And it was announced in the press kit as “Joyn’s most biting in-house production ever”. It is directed by Peter Meister (“The Black Square”) and is scheduled to start in autumn.
